Criteria for Admission

Admission to the program is based on the following criteria:

  • Performance on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT);
  • Undergraduate grade point average (GPA) earned during the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate work; and
  • Other indicators of potential for success in the graduate study of business, including recommendations, personal essays, and previous work experience.

Students admitted for the Spring 2011 term averaged:

  • A GPA for the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work of 3.48 on a 4.0 scale
  • A GMAT score of 558
  • Previous work experience of 5.6 years

The minimum TOEFL (Test of English as a Second Language) score for our program is 83 on the internet-based test (250 on the computer-based and 600 on the paper test). In 2008, the TOEFL score for admitted international students averaged 96. The IELTS will be considered in place of the TOEFL. The required score is a 6.5.

All applicants who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents must submit the following materials to the Graduate School:

  • Admission Application for Domestic Students
  • Official GMAT Scores.
  • Official copy of transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

 

All international applicants must have the equivalent of a four-year degree and submit the following materials: 

  • Admission Application for International Students.
  • Official GMAT and TOEFL scores.
  • Official copy of transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

 

Additionally all applicants (domestic and international) are required to submit two (2) recommendation forms, which should be downloaded, printed, filled out, and submitted to the MBA Office at:

Application Deadlines

 

The MBA Program has a rolling admission policy. Applications will be reviewed as completed. However, to guarantee a seat in a particular semester the applicant must have materials on file by the following dates:

  • Spring Semester- December 1st
  • Summer Semester- April 1st
  • Fall Semester- July 1st
